Let’s take a look at some key comparisons between Kubota, Deere, Mahindra and Bad Boy before you plan a trip out to our store in Bryant, Conway, Hope, Queen City, Russellville, Texarkana or Sherwood, Arkansas!
Kubota compact tractors allow you to tackle any job on your property! At River Valley Tractor, we see most of our buyers come in with anywhere from five to fifty acres. The Kubota B01 Series is an easy-to-use machine with access to 24.3 horsepower and a wide range of implements, made by Kubota and featuring a LandPride front loader. Take things a notch higher with the LX Series and its 24.8 to 30.8 horsepower rating, as well as its economic price point and capability situated between the B01 Series and L01 Series. When you’re looking for the most power in your compact tractor while staying under 40 hp, it’s the Kubota L01 Series that gets the job done. Dominant Kubota steel, gear-drive and three-range HST options, 2WD or 4WD and a phenomenal selection of attachments and implements all allow the L01 Series to leave no stone unturned and make sure you’re giving your property the care and attention it deserves. It’s also been the #1 Selling Series in the USA the last 10 years running.
John Deere’s 1, 2 and 3 Series all provide you with compact tractor performance under 40 horsepower starting out at 21.5 horsepower in the 1023E and topping out at 38.8 in the 3039R (the 3043D and 3046R both exceed 40 hp). Deere’s twin-touch pedals and two-range HST brag about better control over your tractor, but Kubota’s three-range HST and treadle pedal allow for more precision in your operation. Deere also utilizes a composite polymer plastic on its paneling and, as we all know, plastic never holds up compared to the durability of Kubota steel. Kubota also manufactures their engines and powertrains, has a heavy-duty front axle and wide dealer network with readily available parts and service. You won’t find that with John Deere dealers. Make the right decision with a Kubota compact tractor-- it’s easy as 1, 2, 3.
The Mahindra brand offers a strong take on compact tractors with the Mahindra 1600 Series, but they still fall short of the reliability that Kubota compact tractors bring. Mahindra uses plastic and steel to strengthen its frames, as opposed to Kubota’s solid steel. A selection of Mitsubishi engines power the 1600 Series, providing you with 25.9 to 38.7 horsepower. The difference? Kubota’s reliability is evident through its engines and powertrains, all of which are built by Kubota for Kubota owners. Unlike John Deere, Mahindra provides you with a gear-drive and three-range HST options, but Kubota’s decades of excellence show the clear winner when you compare the two, just like Kubota’s dominant PTO horsepower. You’ll also find a serious commitment to operator comfort in Kubota’s compact tractors, while the Mahindra 1600 Series just doesn’t hit that target.
Bad Boy is making a name for itself with the 4025 and 4035 compact tractors, especially for local Arkansans. A 24 to 35 horsepower range and two-range HST in the 40 Series offers strong capability, but it’s nothing that Kubota can’t compete with. Bad Boy’s quality shows in the 40 Series, but so does its age. Sure, the power output, comfort levels and durability are all impressive, but Kubota has been the #1 Selling Compact Tractor Brand for the last 10 years running and for good reason with the awards to back it up. Our hats go off to Bad Boy, but in this matchup, Kubota’s compact tractors, namely the L01 Series go above and beyond the capability of their orange competitors.
